Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens coverage providing 24-hour on-call responsibilities for seven consecutive days
• Responsible for consults, inpatient care, and transfers
• Support staff includes APPs, rounding nurses, and GI team
• Estimated 20 patient encounters per shift
• ERCP training is required for this position
• Must have an active Indiana license, CSR, and DEA
• Must be Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Required procedures include ERCP (both diagnostic and therapeutic)
• Preferred procedures include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/laser fulguration, variceal injection, PEG placement, esophageal dilatation/manometry, small bowel biopsy, sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid), colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), liver biopsy, and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management
• BLS and ABLS certifications required
