Principal Data Engineer

Salary: $112,700 - 193,200 per year Requirements:

• We require 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, data architecture, software engineering, or a related field.
• We require 5+ years of cloud experience with platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or comparable environments.
• We need strong hands-on expertise with Databricks or similar technologies, along with Python and/or PySpark and SQL for building scalable solutions.
• We require experience delivering AI-driven data solutions.
• We require experience in enterprise settings with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, security, and governance.
• We require a proven record of leading large technical initiatives, partnering effectively with business and technology stakeholders, shaping architecture decisions across multiple teams, and promoting enterprise engineering best practices.
• We prefer healthcare industry experience, including familiarity with interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, or related healthcare data models.
• We prefer experience building cloud-native applications, APIs, or data products, or supporting solutions with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• We prefer experience with Databricks Lakehouse architecture and distributed data processing platforms.
• We value excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
• We prefer experience working in global delivery models with effective onshore-offshore collaboration.

• We provide technical leadership for analytics engineering, owning solution design, implementation, and operationalization across enterprise analytics platforms.
• We design, build, and refine scalable analytics pipelines using modern data platforms such as Databricks.
• We develop and govern business intelligence solutions such as Power BI, including semantic models, dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
• We partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define metrics and support data-driven decision making.
• We apply advanced analytics and AI-enabled insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• We ensure data quality, lineage, security, and governance across analytics assets.
• We improve performance through efficient data modeling, query tuning, and pipeline optimization.
• We collaborate within global delivery models and provide technical direction to analytics engineers.
• We participate in partner sessions and workshops to stay aligned with platform capabilities and best practices.
