Landscape Architect Intern Job Description Dewberry is currently seeking a Landscape Architect Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Site/Civil department in our Lanham, MD office to work on a variety of projects for clients within the commercial and government sector. Typical projects involve site/civil design for residential, commercial and industrial site development, and capital improvement projects. Responsibilities Site/civil development including grading design Prepare detailed landscape and hardscape plans Prepare layout studies, yield studies, and parking studies for commercial/residential Prepare development plans to support Rezoning and/or Special Exception applications Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans May also conduct code research and write specifications Required Skills & Required Experience Currently pursuing B.S. or M.S in Landscape Architecture required. Previous internship experience desired. Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills. Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft office is required. Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator, GIS/ArcView and Power Point. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Salary Range $18.75/hour - $29.75/hour. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.
