Professor, Honours Bachelor of Applied Psychology

Position Summary Cambrian College is committed to student success, lifelong learning, and meeting the diverse needs of its students. The School of Community Services has delivered vocationally relevant education for over 50 years, and the Honours Bachelor of Applied Psychology program is seeking a full-time Professor to develop and teach a range of courses. Duties and Responsibilities Teach courses in Developmental Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Professional Standards and Practice, Counselling Methods and Ethics, and Research Methodology. Develop curriculum, plan lessons, assess student progress, and manage classroom dynamics. Establish an effective learning environment and collaborate with colleagues to advance the School’s direction. Advising and recruiting students, supporting promotion and marketing of the program, and assisting with graduate placements. Build and maintain industry connections and community partnerships. Serve on college and school committees to support strategic priorities. Qualifications Ph.D., Doctorate, or equivalent in Psychology, Behaviour Analysis, or a related field, or a master’s degree for Registered Behaviour Analysts, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, or Psychological Associates. Current registration in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Provisional or outside Ontario candidates may be considered. Minimum of three full‑time years of experience in a clinical setting. Prior teaching experience, preferably at the postsecondary level. Strong communication, leadership, and mentorship skills. Experience with creative, current, and emerging teaching strategies to enhance student success. Proficiency with educational technologies, learning management systems, and classroom media presentation systems. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations. Solid commitment to teaching excellence and student education. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, and strong computer literacy.
