BCBA (Mental Health Specialty Flex)

The Edinburg Center is looking for a BCBA for our Mental Health Specialty Flex Team — this is not your ordinary BCBA role! Position: BCBA (Mental Health Specialty Flex) Location: Marlborough, MA Job Id: 2032 # of Openings: 1 Who You Are BCBA/LABA or close to it. We seek BCBAs who want to apply their skills differently at the intersection of mental health and behavior. The ideal candidate has experience conducting functional behavior assessments and designing positive behavior support plans. Experience working with youth 21 years and under with serious emotional and behavioral challenges or autism is required. Excellent written and interpersonal skills, teamwork, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation are essential. What You Will Do Apply ABA principles with youth who experience mental health challenges other than ASD to support them and their families. Provide parent coaching, develop a functional behavior assessment (FBA) and behavior support plan (BSP), participate in family therapy to observe patterns of behavior and family dynamics, and offer a different perspective, collaborating with a variety of collaterals. Participate in individual and group supervisions with a BCBA and licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) to understand the complexities of mental health or trauma‑related challenges and how to combine ABA skills with clinical practice. Think outside the box and be flexible while following ABA principles. Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team of master’s level mental health clinicians, bachelor’s level clinicians, an occupational therapist, a young‑adult peer mentor, and a family partner. No minimum productivity requirement.
