Buyer

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our growing team in Tampa, FL. This is a fully onsite position responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely procurement to support manufacturing and operational objectives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment while balancing cost, quality, and delivery requirements. Responsibilities Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and indirect supplies to support production and business operations. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery schedules. Issue purchase orders and monitor order status to ensure on‑time delivery and inventory availability. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while evaluating performance related to cost, quality, and service. Collaborate with Production, Planning, Engineering, Inventory, and Operations to forecast purchasing needs and resolve supply issues. Analyze inventory levels and purchasing trends to optimize inventory while minimizing excess and shortages. Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary. Identify cost‑saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and process improvements. Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor information within the ERP system. Support new product launches by sourcing materials and coordinating supplier readiness. Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and quality standards. Prepare purchasing reports, supplier scorecards, and spend analysis for leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment. Experience negotiating pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements. Strong understanding of inventory management, procurement processes, and supply chain operations. Experience utilizing ERP or MRP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience purchasing for a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supplier performance management. APICS/CPIM, CPSM, or other supply chain certification is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
