Job Summary: Following an orientation period, the Cardiac Sonographer I is responsible for independently performing comprehensive echocardiograms and/or bubble studies for adult and/or pediatric patients in outpatient and hospital-based settings. The sonographer must demonstrate foundational knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology in the assigned patient population. The sonographer is expected to understand the patient's exam rationale, acquire high-quality diagnostic images, and provide accurate preliminary findings in a timely manner. The sonographer will comply with patient privacy and safety guidelines and adhere to departmental and hospital policies. Responsibilities may change over time at the discretion of department leadership to meet the department's evolving needs.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree required; bachelor's degree preferred

Certification/Licensure:

• ARMDS/RCS/RDCS/CCI required
• BLS required

Experience:

• Experience in echocardiography field preferred but not required.

Hours: M-F 8:30-5pm. Rotating Saturday every couple of months.

Location: Onsite - MGH Main Campus Boston

Pay Range: $31.98 - $47.85/Hourly
