Weight Management Physician

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM) physician with ABOM certification to join its growing Department of Weight & Lifestyle Medicine. This role involves providing direct outpatient care for patients with obesity and related conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping patients achieve healthier lives through evidence-based obesity and lifestyle medicine.Practice InfoCollaborative, innovative group of clinicians passionate about helping patients achieve healthier lives through evidence-based obesity and lifestyle medicineMultidisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurse practitioner, dietitians, and partnerships with psychologists and surgeonsResponsibilitiesProvide direct outpatient care for patients with obesity and related conditionsDevelop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans incorporating behavioral, nutritional, pharmacologic, and bariatric surgical therapiesCollaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary teamParticipate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activitiesStay current on advancements in obesity medicine and bariatric careCompensationCompensation for this specialty generally ranges from $238,500 to $392,500Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the roleBenefitsComprehensive benefits packageIncentive and recognition programsEquity stock purchase401k contributionShift & ScheduleProvide 36 patient contact hours and 4 administrative hours per weekRequirementsMD or DO, Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM)ABOM CertificationProven excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
