Adjunct Instructor - Boonville Campus

Adjunct Instructor – Boonville Campus StateFair Community College is seeking qualified candidates to teach a variety of disciplines at the Boonville campus. Possible disciplines include: Art, Communications/Public Speaking, Criminal Justice, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, and Science. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in the field/discipline they intend to teach. Applicants will be expected to teach in-person at the Boonville Kemper Campus; hybrid teaching may be possible if desired. Course instruction in specific discipline at the Boonville campus, which may include one to two classes each semester based on student demand and instructor availability Follow Lead Instructor’s syllabus template and required learning outcomes Utilize required textbook(s) and/or publisher software (training provided) Utilize technology (including Canvas LMS, Starfish, etc.) Gradebook/feedback up-to-date within 1 week Timely response to student emails Meet attendance reporting and final grade entry deadlines ILO/data reporting to Lead Instructor/Division as requested Maintain communication with Lead Instructor and Boonville Site Director May require 1 visit to the Sedalia campus for a summer department meeting Master’s degree or minimum 18 graduate hours in desired field/discipline Must be available to teach in-person at the Boonville campus Prior teaching experience at the college level preferred Have a working knowledge of computers as a medium to manage and improve instruction Ability to interact with a broad range of people both on and off campus in a positive manner Show evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills Possess an understanding of the range of needs community college students represent Possess a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the community college Willingness to improve instruction through professional development including pedagogy and technology This position pays $675 per credit hour. Employment will require a criminal background check at College Expense. Preference is given to Missouri residents and those with previous community college experience.
