MEDICAL ASSISTANT PHLEBOTOMIST

Location: Titusville, FL
Pay: $16-$17 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Setting: Outpatient | Adult Patients

POSITION OVERVIEW

Seeking a Medical Assistant with strong phlebotomy skills to support providers and adult patients in a fast-paced outpatient clinic.

This position combines hands-on patient care with administrative support, including patient intake, blood draws, specimen preparation, clinical documentation and care coordination.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Obtain patient histories, vital signs and chief complaints
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws
• Label and prepare specimens for laboratory processing
• Administer injections and immunizations as directed and within scope
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing
• Collect blood, urine and swab specimens
• Assist providers during exams and procedures
• Document patient information and procedures in the EHR
• Process lab requisitions, track results and alert providers to abnormal findings
• Clean, stock and prepare exam rooms
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control and specimen-handling standards

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Strong phlebotomy and specimen-handling experience
• BLS or CPR certification, or the ability to obtain it
• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• One or more years of outpatient Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Primary care, internal medicine or infectious disease experience preferred
• EHR proficiency and basic computer skills
• A reliable, detail-oriented and patient-focused approach

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• $16-$17 per hour
