Configuration Management Systems Engineer Sr.

Configuration & Data Management (CDM) Point of Contact – XYZ Contract You will be the CDM Point of Contact for the XYZ contract team, safeguarding product data integrity, driving configuration control, and enabling seamless change management across the program’s lifecycle. Responsibilities Own end-to-end implementation of configuration and data management processes on the XYZ contract. Serve as the trusted liaison between engineering, program management, and suppliers, ensuring all changes are tracked, reviewed, and released with precision. Participate in the Integrated Product/Process Team (IPT) and represent CDM interests. Review and comment on Program Planning documents such as the Program Management Plan, Statement of Work, and Statement of Requirements. Develop, publish, and maintain the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) for the program. Enforce configuration control activities and standards throughout the contract. Facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, prepare agendas, and document decisions. Analyze engineering change packages for technical and programmatic impact and advise stakeholders. Set up and oversee workflow teams in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system as the workflow coordinator. Validate Change Notice (CN) content to meet LockheedMartin command media and program‑specific requirements. Manage initial releases and all subsequent revisions of the Technical Data Package (TDP). Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited university. Ability to obtain an active Secret clearance. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience using Configuration Status Accounting tools including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Experience implementing Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes and procedures. Experience reading and releasing engineering drawings and documentation including bills of material. Experience with serialization of hardware and Item Unique Identification standards. Familiarity with data markings, formatting and handling of documentation. Desired Skills Active Secret clearance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse technical and business personnel. Experience with hardware and software Configuration Management. Experience developing CDM plans and implementing CDM processes on complex development programs. Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance; the selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen and obtain a Secret clearance. Location and Compensation Grand Prairie, TX.
