Perform preventative maintenance procedures to ensure equipment reliability and train team members on technical processesWhat your day will look like:Supports the production team as the mechanical expertEnsures production and support equipment are functioning properlyPerforms preventative maintenance proceduresTroubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctionsMakes repairs or adjustments to equipment as neededPerforms basic electrical duties (replace motors, switches, PE, etc.)Performs package change over on lines as requiredSupports the team on all aspects of the operationTrains team members on mechanical processFocuses on continuous improvementMaintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with ISO Good Manufacturing Practices standardsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously (maintain projects, work closely with fellow associates, other departments and vendors, manage preventative maintenance and support line assignments)Performs appropriate duties as assigned by managementWhat you need to succeed:Minimum age 18 years oldPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policiesRegular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelinesAbility to maintain safety and security of Company assetsAbility to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 2-4 years related experience &/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceWillingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as requiredProficient knowledge in the operation of continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipmentEffective problem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formKnowledge of various mechanical processes is necessary (hydraulics, pneumatics, etc)Ability to work with all functional team membersAbility to communicate effectivelyResponsible for providing basic tools including basic metric and standard wrenches, allen wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, pry bars, etcKnowledge of metric and standard wrenches, sockets, and allen wrenches with the ability to drill and tap holesPhysical RequirementsPosition will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program.
