Leading grocery warehouse is looking for a Sanitation/Porter to join their team. This position will be an 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. Drug screening and background check required. Position located in Cairo, Georgia and is a temp to hire position based on attendance and performance. Key Skills & Requirements Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varied weather conditions. Attention to Detail: For proper waste sorting and thorough cleaning. Reliability & Punctuality: Essential for daily collection routes. Knowledge of Protocols: Understanding of waste types, hazardous materials, and sanitation procedures. Teamwork: Working effectively with other staff. salary: $14 - $15 per hour shift: First work hours: 6 AM - 4 PM education: High School Responsibilities Common Responsibilities Waste Collection & Disposal: Manually or mechanically collecting garbage, recyclables, and hazardous waste from various locations. Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweeping streets, cleaning public restrooms, sanitizing equipment, scrubbing floors/walls, dusting ducts, and emptying bins. Equipment Operation: Operating vacuums or other cleaning machinery. Safety & Compliance: Following strict health, safety, and sanitation protocols (SOPs), handling hazardous materials safely, and reporting issues. Public Area Maintenance: Keeping warehouse, restrooms and common areas and public spaces free of litter and debris.
