Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including initial assessments and follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.

• Develop individualized, culturally competent treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client, reflecting their personal goals and challenges.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methods tailored to client needs.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in psychotherapy and integrate them into your practice, including innovative techniques and methodologies.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical practitioners, to coordinate care and facilitate referrals when necessary.

• Monitor clients' progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as needed to optimize outcomes.

• Assist families and caregivers in understanding mental health issues and support them in their roles through education and resources.

• Proactively identify and address behaviors or barriers that may hinder recovery, ensuring a comprehensive approach to client wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting individuals battling various mental health challenges, ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma, behavioral issues, and addiction. Our diverse client base includes children, adolescents, adults, and families, all seeking guidance on their mental health journeys. You will play a vital role in fostering a safe and trusting environment, making each client feel valued and understood as they work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Texas is mandated.

• Successful completion of relevant examinations such as the NCE and/or the NCMHCE.

• Strong experience in clinical counseling within an outpatient mental health setting.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Thorough understanding of mental health disorders and a solid foundation in evidence-based intervention strategies.

Preferred Experience\n

• Hands-on experience in working with clients with co-occurring physical and mental health conditions.

• Knowledge of addiction treatment methodologies and issues related to substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with AMHCA best practices and a commitment to maintaining ethical standards in all interventions.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to engage clients effectively.

• Demonstrated compassionate approach with keen interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n
