Area ManagerBlake & Pendleton (B&P) is the largest Sullair Distributor in the Southeast. B&P offers highly unique services aimed at increasing energy efficiency and improving compressed air usage in customers' plants and facilities.B&P is searching for an Area Manager in the Charleston, SC area to join our growing team!The primary function of this position is to develop and manage an existing large customer base and provide technical solutions in partnership with the Service Department.Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):Manage the business development activities of a dedicated strategic territoryDevelop and execute strategies for new businessAnticipate uncertainty, manage risk, embrace change, and drive good decision-making throughout the Area Manager functionIdentify customers' new and existing needs, develop, and present strategic proposalsMake presentations to key decision makers, effectively selling the company's capabilities and credentialsGrow new and existing accounts to their full potential, as well as generate maximum revenue on a long-term basisBenefits:Blake & Pendleton offers an excellent, comprehensive benefits package. Wages are competitive and commensurate with skill level and experience.Requirements: The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, communications or another related fieldFive (5) Years Compressed Air industry experience is preferredUndergraduate degree is preferredSuccessful direct sales experience preferably in the industrial supply chain businessExcellent organizational, oral & written communication skillsWilling to research and identify target prospects & business needsDisciplined work ethic driven by passion toward accountability achievementComputer skills with proficiency in a Windows based environmentMust have team work attitudeDetail orientedAble to work independently and as a team playerOrganized, able to multitaskSelf-starter in a high paced work environmentWork within established procedures and meet deadlines
