In this vital role you will be the connection to our customers by providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals and helping them navigate the complex payer environment. We are actively searching for a Specialty Representative/SeniorSpecialty Representative to deliver on our commitment to serve patients. TheSpecialtyRepresentative/Senior Specialty Representative acts as the primary customer contact andis responsible forimplementing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as led by the District Manager. Responsibilities include: Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen’s products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization of the products. Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement. Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, including customizing discussions and customer interactions based on an understanding of customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving or triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts. Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans in partnership with the District Manager. Partner with other colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative. Demonstrate passion for Amgen’s products and sustain that passion throughout the entire sales cycle, consistently building the brand while keeping patient impact at the forefront. Basic Qualifications Specialty Representative Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience Basic Qualifications Senior Specialty Representative Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experienceand/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales relatedOR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experienceand/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales relatedOR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experienceand/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology,gastroenterologyor infectious diseases; and the diseases and treatments involved with these specialties Local market knowledge Established relationships in the territory ABachelor'sdegree in Life Sciences or Business Administration Adaptability with our Core Competencies: Planning and Organizing;LeveragingBusiness, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; and Cultivating Internal and External Relationships. The expected annual salary range for Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is$89,816 to $121,602. The expected annual salary range for Senior Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $109,631- $148,325. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
