Direct Care Worker (DCW)

Stand Out Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes. Services include attendant care, personal care, and homemaker services designed to help clients maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide attendant care and personal care services.

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility.

• Perform homemaker duties such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment.

• Follow individualized care plans and agency policies.

• Ensure client safety and well-being at all times.

• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors.

• Document services provided in accordance with agency requirements.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Be 18 years of age or older .

• Hold a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card .

• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation/vehicle.

• Pass a state-approved Direct Care Worker (DCW) test .

• Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications .

• Pass a background check .

• Demonstrate effective communication skills.

• Show empathy, compassion, and professionalism.

• Be reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.

• Follow all safety protocols and care standards.

Preferred Skills

• 1 year of direct care, home care, caregiving, or related experience preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of care.

• Effective communication and customer service skills.

• Compassion, empathy, and a client-centered approach to care.
