Subrogation & Recovery Associate

Cozen O’Connor, a leading national law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with approximately 5 years of litigation experience to join our dynamic team in our Miami office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a prestigious firm known for its expertise in litigation. Responsibilities Represent corporate clients in federal and state courts, handling civil actions for real property, personal property, and business losses. Collaborate with forensic experts to investigate and evaluate the viability of claims in single and multi‑party litigation. Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs. Prepare for, attend, and present at court hearings; take and defend depositions. Maintain effective communication with clients and opposing counsel. Try cases at both bench and jury trials. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Excellent academic credentials demonstrating strong legal aptitude. Admission to the Florida bar. Minimum of five years of litigation experience, preferably prosecuting and/or defending product defect, property damage, construction, or property insurance claims. Experience working with forensic experts (fire origin, mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, chemical, material, human factors, accounting, standard of care). Proficiency in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and presenting oral arguments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Willingness to travel as needed.
