Java Backend Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Java Backend Developer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable, secure applications across frontend and backend systems.

Rate Range: $55/Hour to $65/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Java Backend Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy fullstack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and RESTful APIs.
• Architect and maintain microservices and cloudnative solutions on GCP, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to translate user needs into technical designs and deliverables.
• Implement test strategies including TDD, CI/CD pipelines, and automated quality checks.
• Optimize application performance, security, and data protection (encryption, anonymization).
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency and solution quality.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of software development experience with at least 6+ years in hands-on engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Java backend development using Spring Boot, with experience building and maintaining microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD practices, and delivering secure, high-quality cloudnative applications end to end.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
