Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Clerk to join our finance team. In this dual role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of both outgoing payments and incoming revenue. The ideal candidate possesses a strong numerical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports accurately.
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, including checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing discrepancies or payment issues.
• Maintain updated and accurate vendor files and W-9 records.
• Assist in month-end AP closing procedures.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Generate and issue invoices and customer account statements in a timely manner.
• Process and post daily customer payments, including cash, check, credit card, and ACH transactions.
• Monitor AR aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts via email and phone.
• Investigate and resolve customer billing inquiries, chargebacks, or short payments.
• Process bank deposits and assist with daily bank reconciliations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
• 1–3 years of proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general bookkeeping.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and fair credit practices.
• Proficiency in standard accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel .
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong data entry skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
