Job Overview We are seeking a talented and experienced Florist to join our boutique floral shop located in the bustling city of Washington DC. This is a contract position with a salary of $1,600 per month. Responsibilities Design and create floral arrangements based on client preferences and event themes. Source and select high‑quality flowers, plants and accessories from local suppliers. Maintain inventory of flowers and supplies ensuring freshness and quality. Provide exceptional customer service by consulting with clients to understand their needs and offering creative suggestions. Manage orders, deliveries, and set‑up for events as needed. Keep up‑to‑date with current trends, techniques and styles in the floral industry. Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience as a florist in a retail or event setting. Excellent design skills with an eye for detail and creativity. Strong knowledge of different types of flowers, plants and their care requirements. Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality standards. Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively. Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
