Associate Attorney

A well-established law firm in Sioux City, Iowa is looking for an Attorney to join its growing team. The attorney will either focus on litigation or transactional-based matters depending on their preferences and experience.The firm handles a wide range of cases, but their primary practice areas arecivil litigation and business law matters. They have built an excellent reputation as a boutique law firm in Sioux City and are looking for an attorney to grow their team. Candidates with direct civil litigation or business law experience will be given priority, but the team is also open to training the right person including new attorneys. Responsibilities Manage a variety of civil litigation or business law matters from inception through resolution. Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, mediations, and negotiations. Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies. Draft and review pleadings, motions, contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Advise business clients on legal issues, risk management, and operational matters. Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case developments and legal strategy. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional client service. Participate in business development and community engagement efforts as desired. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active Iowa law license Prior experience in civil litigation, business law, or a combination of both preferred. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and client relationship abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
