Route Sales Representative (San Francisco and Palo Alto Areas)

Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Route Sales Supervisor, the Route Sales Representative is assigned to serve as a liaison to Lottery retail accounts. The Route Sales Representative is assigned a state van and conducts field visits with a predetermined portion of assigned Lottery retailers each day to maintain direct contact with retailers and assume all functions associated with the sale of Lottery products.

This positions work location is listed in San Francisco County as the territories supervised are within the County of San Francisco and Santa Clara (see below), but please be aware this positions headquarters/reporting location is at our Richmond District Office.

This position is headquartered at the Richmond District Office. This position is not eligible for telework.

Working Conditions

1. Schedule: 8 hours as assigned Monday - Friday
2. Travel: Daily travel required; majority of position is performed out in the field at Lottery retailer locations and/or within the confines of the assigned state van.
3. Other: Work independently. Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.

Special Requirements

• The California State Lottery Act provides that no person may be hired as an employee of the Commission if that person has been convicted of a felony or any gambling related offense.
• The position requires a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
• This position requires Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
• This position requires a California Driver’s License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application including providing your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
