Oiler/Lube Technician

Job Title

The Sherwood Companies have a proven track record of completing a variety of projects from General Construction, to Construction Management and Design Build Projects for both public and private owners. A brief summary of the types of projects include, urban expressways, bridges, underground utilities, dam construction, asphalt/concrete paving and water/wastewater treatment plants.

Job Description

Under general supervision, perform safe & efficient preventative maintenance duties on heavy construction equipment used in highway construction, grading & paving operations, plants, & quarries. The incumbent will need to operate in a safe and efficient manner following all personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements. This role is classified as safety sensitive.

Activities/Tasks/Scope

Keep work area clean, orderly and safeProvide scheduled maintenance on, on and off road construction equipment; including lube and oil changesAssist mechanics as needed in the repair of equipmentDocument work in process, as well as completed workSome record keeping requiredFollow all Company safety policies and proceduresApply improved work procedures to ensure safety and efficiency of operationsPerform other related duties as assigned

Education/Experience
