Details 101-bed Emergency Department in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center handling over 100,000 visits annually Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds Equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors Documentation via Cerner EMR Scheduled shifts run 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM Every other weekend required, no block scheduling commitments No floating outside the ED, but must be willing to float to all sections within the ED Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS prior to start date ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including at least 1 year in an ER setting Level II trauma center and high-volume ED experience preferred Comprehensive stroke center experience preferred Prior HCA experience preferred Strong teamwork skills with ability to coach and give real-time feedback Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED Additional Information Provide emergency nursing care across all ED sections including cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage Maintain strong patient experience standards using AIDET principles and consistent patient updates Navy scrubs required as part of the dress code Department known for strong teamwork and a welcoming culture Serves a diverse, multicultural community with over 120 languages represented Attendance policy provided on first day Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Local candidates are not accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID P-748760.
