Assembler - Key Responsibilities & Requirements Position Summary

• Join an electronics manufacturing team responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components.
• Perform precision assembly work to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Support production through inspection, testing, and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Mount components and secure parts using bolts and fastening hardware.
• Route cables and install wiring, circuit cards, and electrical components.
• Perform soldering of electrical parts according to IPC and industry standards.
• Assemble electronic and mechanical components based on specifications and schematics.
• Inspect finished products for quality and workmanship.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical testing to verify functionality and reliability.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot assembly defects and diagnose product issues.
• Repair assembly errors and perform rework as needed.
• Utilize test equipment and repair tools to validate product performance.
• Follow assembly procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of assembly experience.
• Experience with electronic and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and assembly instructions.
• Strong soldering skills and knowledge of electronics assembly.
• Experience using test equipment and repair tools.
• Proficiency in using multimeters for testing and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to identify and correct assembly defects.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IPC standards and soldering best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies and circuit boards.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools, including calipers.
• BG in electrical testing and quality inspection processes.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Perform detailed hand assembly and soldering tasks.
• Handle small electronic components and wiring assemblies.
• Maintain precision and accuracy throughout the production process.
• Follow quality and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

• Small, clean, and well-maintained manufacturing shop in Forest Hill.
• Collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
• Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Forest Hill, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
