About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Active license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required; CPI, PALS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: - EPIC experience required - Previous Charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 4-5 Description: Candidates must be aware of the job description and requirements. They must be flexible with scheduling and aware of the client’s policies regarding tardiness and absences. Candidates should not have any barriers that would prevent timely compliance completion. They must pass a Pass Fail EKG exam, a requirement for all RNs regardless of specialty. This role involves working 3 shifts per week, with 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days within a 6-week period. Holidays will be required as necessary, and there is no on-call duty. ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are mandatory. Experience in handling arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients is required. Candidates should be skilled in central line care, IV sedation management, and dysrhythmia interpretation. The emergency room handles a variety of patient diagnoses, including stroke and cardiac events, with interdisciplinary support available. The environment is fast-paced, with a daily census of approximately 180 visits. Candidates may be floated to other campuses as needed. All RNs must complete compliance training and pass a required EKG exam. Modules may be completed during orientation and will vary in hours based on unit requirements.
