Role Description The Assistant Community Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Valparaiso, IN. This position supports the Community Manager in the daily operations of residential and commercial properties, including assisting with resident and tenant communications, coordinating maintenance requests, and monitoring property conditions. The role includes helping with lease administration, record keeping, and preparation of reports related to occupancy, budget, and property performance. The Assistant Community Manager also helps organize community meetings, supports enforcement of association rules and regulations, and collaborates with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and quality work. This role requires regular interaction with residents, owners, and internal team members to maintain high standards of customer service and efficient property operations. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, owners, and vendors. Candidates should possess organizational, time management, and multitasking skills to manage documentation, schedules, and multiple property-related activities. Candidates should possess communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, for resident notices, reports, and professional correspondence. Candidates should possess basic administrative and computer skills, including proficiency with office software (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets) and property management systems. Candidates should possess problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to address resident concerns, enforce policies, and support smooth community operations. Relevant experience in property management, real estate, or community association management is beneficial. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in business, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
