Direct Counsel is seeking an attorney with a minimum 3 years civil litigation experience to join the Unfair Competition & Trade Secrets Practice Group . The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn the most exciting, fast-paced litigation area of employment law.  Among other things, the practice group helps clients protect against threatened disclosure of confidential information and trade secrets by obtaining temporary restraining orders, temporary injunctions, and permanent injunctions.

The successful candidate must d esire to assume significant responsibility including:

• Interviewing witnesses

• Drafting pleadings

• Conducting discovery

• Going to the courthouse to obtain temporary restraining orders and temporary injunctions 

• Must have excellent writing skills

• Be willing to work when a client has a problem

• Must be licensed to practice law in Texas

• May be located in Austin or Houston and would be expected to support the practice group in both locations

Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with and openness to leveraging AI-driven and emerging technologies, with the aptitude to apply them effectively to enhance efficiency, client service, and legal work product.
