Title
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Schedule
- Weekend requirement: Work every other weekend; holidays as needed.
- Schedule posted every 6 weeks.

Assignment Details
- Average daily census: ~15; ~500-600 deliveries/month.
- 31 rooms / 31 beds.

Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of RN experience required; 2 years in high-acuity, high-pace environments preferred.
- Preferred: 5 years high-risk experience; will consider 3+ years if high-risk experience is demonstrated.
- Must have current BLS and NRP certifications; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate preferred.
- Must provide current supervisory references and proof of required certifications with submission.
- EPIC EHR experience required.
- Proof of current Nursys required.
- Clinical hard-skill requirements:
- Ability to circulate in OR.
- Perform newborn care: eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K administration, IM thigh injections, newborn assessment.
- Experience with high-risk labor management and high-acuity workflows.
- Competence with electronic fetal monitoring.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage all types of labor and delivery procedures, including neonatal stabilization and circulating responsibilities for operative births.
- Provide care as the baby/newborn nurse during delivery and until transfer to postpartum.
- Administer common medications encountered, such as heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.
- Monitor patients using electronic fetal monitoring, following AWHONN guideline staffing.

Compliance / Notes
- Minimum 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required.
- Pre-start modules required (average ~16 hours, non-billable).
- Travel eligibility note: Permanent employees from other facilities eligible for travel contract after 3-month separation.
