Tax Strategy & Compliance Lead

Job Duties Operates with a high degree of autonomy to support tax reporting, compliance, audit, and planning activities, applying a strong understanding of relevant statutory guidance and its application to financial (general ledger) data. Leads the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 (US GAAP). Identifies and implements opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance data quality and efficiency. Supports the financial close process, including account reconciliations, tax return preparation, and the collection and analysis of relevant accounting guidance and tax technical research. Prepares technical memoranda to support tax positions taken in financial statements and statutory filings for management review. Evaluates and identifies tax planning opportunities to optimize the company’s effective tax rate and cash tax position. Supports SOX compliance through the identification, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of internal controls within the tax function. Qualifications Requires an undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years related experience. CPA license preferred. Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
