Job Summary: Urgent Care Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) Edmonds, WA

- Certification Requirement: Must have active Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C); MA-R, MA-P, or MA-HT not accepted.
- Location: Edmonds, WA; open to both local and non-local (within WA state) candidates.
- Schedule:
- 2x12hr shifts + 2x8hr shifts per week
- Monday (7:45a 8:15p), Thursday (7:45a 8:15p), Friday (9:00a 5:30p), Saturday (7:45a 4:15p)
- OFF: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- Experience:
- Minimum 6 months as an MA-C in adult/pediatric outpatient clinic
- Previous travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes (every Saturday)
- On-call Requirement: None
- Float Requirement: None, single location every shift
- Transportation: Must have reliable personal transportation (no public transit)
- Temp-to-Perm Opportunity:
- Potential for permanent hire after contract
- Must be willing/able to convert to permanent role

Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain and record vital signs (height/weight, 12-lead EKG/ECG, pulse oximetry, vision testing)
- Record patient history, medications, and allergies
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures (including nebulizer treatments)
- Administer injections (immunizations, intramuscular)
- Collect and label specimens (throat, urine; UA/clean catch)
- Perform laboratory tests (blood glucose, pregnancy, strep, urine dipstick/urinalysis)
- Stock supplies and perform general office duties
- Administer medication and perform ear lavage
- Room patients for providers

Other Requirements:
- EPIC charting experience required
- Scrub color to be determined

Ideal Candidate:
- Certified MA-C with relevant outpatient clinic and travel experience
- Reliable, flexible, and open to permanent employment
- Comfortable with required skills and EMR (EPIC)
