This Surgical Services unit functions within Bloomington Hospital, where we have 14 operating rooms and 2 open heart rooms. Our Surgical Services team members perform a variety of services, including cardiovascular, gynecological, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and DaVinci procedures. Shift Requirements (OR) Various shift and statuses available. There is minimal on‑call, however team members must be able to respond to on‑call notice and be at the Bloomington facility within 30 minutes. Why Join IU Health? The more you participate, the more you earn. Qualifications Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
