Job Description

Job Summary:

Perform clinical laboratory testing as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist to support patient diagnostics. Ensure accurate results and maintain compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a variety of complex laboratory tests following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate, neat, and well-organized records of test results, quality control, calibrations, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform quality control and preventative maintenance procedures and document all activities.
• Enter test results precisely into the laboratory information system and document actions taken for critical or abnormal findings.
• Notify supervisor promptly of any issues, discrepancies, or instrument malfunctions.
• Keep competency documentation current and easily accessible to ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid certification or license as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist.
• Bring laboratory experience, preferably with blood bank procedures, though not required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing a range of laboratory tests with attention to detail.
• Exhibit excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
• Possess strong communication skills for clear reporting of critical results and issues.
