MRI Technologist

Job Summary:

The Radiology/Cardiology MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI procedures on adult and pediatric patients in acute care, ICU, and ER settings. The role requires ensuring patient safety, operating MRI equipment, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. The technologist must have relevant certifications and experience, demonstrate proficiency in MRI safety protocols, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI scans on adult and pediatric patients in acute care, ICU, and ER environments.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during MRI procedures.
• Operate MRI equipment according to established protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to MRI procedures.
• Participate in overlapping coverage periods to ensure continuous patient care.
• Adhere to MRI safety guidelines and protocols at all times.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT MR certification.
• Washington State License with MRI designation.
• Minimum of 2 years MRI technologist experience, including adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, and ER settings.
• Ability to work night shifts, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 12-hour shifts.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with patient transport in MRI safety protocols.
• Previous experience in a hospital or acute care environment.

Special Considerations:

• No on-call requirements for this position.
• Three hours of technologist overlapping coverage during shifts to ensure patient care continuity.
• Must have a minimum 3-month separation from any Providence affiliated facility for travel position eligibility.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Shift start date is ASAP.
