Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is recruiting for a 1st Shift Inspector for our client in Endicott, NY. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented machine & metal inspector to ensure their products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. As a 1st Shift Inspector, you will inspect metal components and machine-processed parts throughout the production cycle, helping maintain consistency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Inspect metal parts and machine-finished components for defects, dimensions, and overall quality.
• Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and blueprints to verify accuracy.
• Document inspection results and report deviations or quality concerns to production teams.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to maintain quality throughout manufacturing.
• Assist in identifying root causes of defects and support corrective action processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following company and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Previous experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or quality inspection preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy working with small and large metal parts.
• Familiarity with measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Industrial/manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and metal processing equipment.

The estimated hourly salary range for this position is $18.00 -$22/h though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. Thank you for your interest in our position!
