CNC Machinist

Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is recruiting for a CNC Machinist for our client in Endicott, NY. Your primary responsibility is to operate CNC milling machines, perform machine maintenance, complete part inspection, deburr parts, and clean machine and area. May also be required to perform secondary (off-line) operations to parts while machine is operational and running.

Responsibilities

• Understand and utilize all safety requirements to operate CNC milling machine.
• Monitor machine for broken tools and parts for bad finishes.
• Operate multiple CNC machines per machining operation setup sheets and instructions.
• Understand all standard work instructions required to log onto and off jobs, handle non-conforming parts, and perform tasks required.
• Make parts safe for handling, deburr parts per print and clean parts to required instructions.
• Inspect part to verify conformance to prints and complete key characteristic inspection sheet.
• Complete machine preventive maintenance checklist.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience with CNC Milling machines including machine maintenance and part inspection.
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift.
• Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work tasks, and work effectively in both a team and individual setting.
• Requires meticulous attention to detail to accurately interpret specifications, program measurement routines, and analyze measurement data.
• A high school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds periodically.
• Prefer prior experience in quality control, manufacturing, or working in a similar environment.

The estimated hourly range for this position is $18-$22/hr, though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
