In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment to produce high-quality precision components while meeting productivity, safety, and quality standards.This is an excellent opportunity for machinists who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have experience with CNC machining, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and continuous improvement.### Your Responsibilities* Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.* Produce precision machined parts while adhering to quality and safety standards.* Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.* Select and utilize appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters.* Perform machining operations such as turning, milling, boring, threading, tapping, drilling, and facing.* Calculate offsets and make machine adjustments as needed.* Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.* Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues.* Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the machine shop.### Our Requirements* High school diploma or equivalent.* 2+ years of machining, CNC operation, or related manufacturing experience preferred.* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.* Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.* Working knowledge of shop math, decimals, fractions, and basic trigonometry.* Understanding of machining principles, tooling, and cutting parameters.* Knowledge of GD&T preferred.* Ability to work independently and within a team environment.* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.### Physical Requirements* Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.* Ability to lift and move materials up to 45 pounds.* Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment.### Why Johnson Electric?At Johnson Electric, we are committed to creating innovative motion solutions that improve the world.
