About the Position

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; floating between units required; 48-hour work weeks approved

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Demonstrated competency in core Med/Surg skills including: IV management, central line care, wound care/wound vac, PCA pumps, blood product administration, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and pre/post surgical care
• Experience with specialized patient populations including bariatric surgery, CVA, traumatic brain injury, renal failure, palliative care, and substance withdrawal
• Must provide two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
