Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Care

Location: New York, NY

Pay Rate: Start at 75$/hour

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Care provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. The RN will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care, support post-operative recovery, administer medications, and educate patients and families. The ideal candidate will possess recent Med/Surg experience, strong clinical assessment skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

• Active New York State RN License.

• Current AHA BLS Certification.

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience.

• Recent experience within the past year in an acute care or post-acute care setting.

• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.

• IV Therapy experience.

• Telemetry monitoring experience.

• Wound care and infection control knowledge.

• Medication administration experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• EPIC EMR experience.

• Experience in large acute care hospital settings.

• Post-operative patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients.

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and post-operative nursing care.

• Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition.

• Insert catheters and manage specialized medical equipment.

• Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

• Follow established nursing standards, policies, and safety protocols.
