About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to play a pivotal role in the organization. The CDO will be responsible for leading the design and execution of ambitious fundraising, development, and communication strategies, with a focus on raising $10M - $12M annually. This includes serving as a key organizational leader, mentoring staff, and advancing equity, inclusion, and justice. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to these values, a passion for the mission, and at least 15 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in senior-level fundraising roles. The role also involves external leadership, donor engagement, and the advancement of a diverse donor base. Applicants for the CDO position at the company should be seasoned fundraising professionals with a proven track record in meeting significant annual targets. The role requires excellent leadership, change management, and relationship management skills, as well as a strong commitment to social justice. The CDO will work closely with the CEO, C-suite, and a dedicated team, and must be adept at building and influencing relationships at all levels. The position is remote, with an expectation of monthly travel, and the company is particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to a diverse and inclusive team.
