About the Role:
Merging Happiness & Inclusion Inc. is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Staff member to join our team in Murfreesboro, TN. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and daily routines
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to community activities, and social events
- Encourage skill-building, independence, and community inclusion
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
- Respond appropriately to behavioral needs and crisis situations following established protocols
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and complete required DSP training
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining client dignity and confidentiality
