Specimen Processor II
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor II for its Chattanooga laboratory operations. The role involves preparing specimens for analysis, managing patient data, and coordinating with client offices in a high-throughput environment. Monday–Friday evening shifts with rotating Sunday and holiday availability required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens for testing and analysis
- Enter and verify patient information accurately and timely
- Identify, label, and pack specimens for shipment to testing facilities
- Communicate with client office staff to resolve specimen and procedural issues
- Perform specialized specimen processing including spinning, freezing, and splitting as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year or more medical or clinical laboratory experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong organizational and data entry skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
