Per Diem Research Associate (CPT Required)

Job Title Research Associate – Certified Phlebotomy Technician License Required Work Location Onsite, Glendale, CA Overview Research Associates support the successful completion of Phase I trials by conducting study procedures, enrolling participants, and maintaining study documentation. Responsibilities Understand study protocols and complete required medical procedures. Recruit study participants through database calls, community events, flyers, and other outreach methods. Enter participants into study participant tracking system, maintain appointment calendars, and operate company information systems. Conduct screening visits and protocol‑specific study visits, assist physicians with concomitant medications, adverse events, lab results, and other test results. Prepare and monitor study supplies and stock levels in clinic/hospital. Label, inventory, and send plasma samples. Resolve participant issues as they arise. Ensure basic participant safety. Assist with monitor visits (room set up, etc.). Identify issues requiring sponsor approval and bring to CRC. Maintain and update knowledge of Clinical Operating Guidelines. Assume appropriate role with participants and caregivers. Assure quality and accuracy of source data and CRFs. Comply with Quality Management guidelines and perform corrections timely. Qualifications Active CPT license in CA required. Customer service experience in a fast‑paced environment. Experience working in a medical or clinical setting (preferred). Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. B.S. in a related life science field or HS diploma/GED with relevant experience. Hours and Shift All shifts are onsite. This is a per diem position; up to 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week depending on business needs. Training and Schedule Required training: four weeks, 40 hours/week Mon‑Fri 8:00am‑4:30pm. Post‑training: full‑day availability any shift between 5:00am‑12:00am, three days a week with one day a Sunday; additional availability encouraged. Compensation Base pay range: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour (eligible for shift differentials). Salaries may vary based on education, training, experience, professional achievement, and location.
