Instrument Technician

We’re seeking a Survey Instrument Person to support field crews performing land surveying work throughout the Maryland area. Responsibilities: Assist the Survey Party Chief with boundary, topographic, construction stakeout, and location surveys Set up and operate GPS/GNSS, data collectors, levels, total stations, and other survey equipment Establish survey control points and assist with construction staking Recover property corners and assist with boundary and easement surveys Maintain accurate field notes and survey data Assist the Party Chief with day-to-day field operations Qualifications: Previous land surveying or related field experience preferred Familiarity with survey equipment such as GPS/GNSS, total stations, and data collectors preferred Ability to read basic plans and follow field instructions Valid driver’s license Ability to work outdoors and perform the physical requirements of field surveying Compensation: $20–$30/hour, depending on experience.
