Pay Range Based on experience. Starting base salary: $50,000+ (Including a competitive Bonus Program) Overview We are looking for an experienced kitchen team member to join our fast‑paced, growing restaurant and manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. The role ensures meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes. Responsibilities Lead the kitchen team in the Executive Chef’s absence. Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff, including line cooking, food preparation and dish plating. Oversee and organize kitchen stock and ingredients. Maintain a first‑in, first‑out food rotation system and verify all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance. Keep cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours. Hire and train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards. Manage food and product ordering by keeping detailed records, minimizing waste, and working with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns. Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards. Work with the head chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability and training opportunities. Verify that food storage units meet standards and are consistently well‑managed. Assist the head chef with menu creation. Coordinate with the restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget and kitchen efficiency and staffing. Position Requirements Food Handler Certification.
