Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Focused on embedding NIST-based security controls into system architectures, the full-time Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will engineer, implement, and validate security measures while enabling continuous monitoring and automated authorization aligned to RMF. Key responsibilities Integrate NIST SP 800-53 security controls into system architectures and applications as part of the SDLC Design and implement continuous monitoring capabilities to validate control effectiveness using system telemetry Support RMF lifecycle activities, including control selection, implementation, assessment, and authorization Required qualifications Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience 5 years of experience supporting compliance or cybersecurity reporting (e.g., FISMA, RMF) 5 years of experience implementing and validating NIST SP 800-53 controls within systems 3 years of experience supporting RMF and ATO processes with hands-on control implementation Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability (EOD) and have active Secret or above clearance
