Make a difference in the lives of elementary-aged students by supporting their communication growth in a collaborative school setting. In this rewarding contract role, you’ll deliver skilled speech-language therapy services to a manageable caseload, working within a supportive team of professionals. With all school locations conveniently within blocks of each other, you’ll experience both variety and a close, collegial environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state license or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare settings is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for working with young children to support their speech and language development
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy primarily to elementary school students, with a caseload of around 23 students
- Serve five students at neighboring buildings as needed, with all campuses close by for easy transition
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders
- Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to optimize student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school guidelines
- Schedule and deliver services across a 7.5-hour workday, typically between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm, adjusted as service delivery needs require
