Join Our Palliative and Hospice Care Team!

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Physician to become a part of our esteemed team in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time role: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Flexible scheduling: No night shifts!
• Patient care locations: Parkview Randallia, Parkview Regional Medical Center, and various Extended Care Facilities.
• Inpatient hospice unit: Located at Parkview Randallia.
• On-call requirement: 1:6, phone-based only.
• Preferred qualifications: Board eligibility or certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Experience the strength of collaborative care as you work with a highly regarded Palliative Care Team, providing both inpatient and outpatient services throughout the Fort Wayne area. You will also collaborate with the hospice team in northeast Indiana. Our team is well-integrated and connected across the care continuum, ensuring smooth transitions for patients from hospital to hospice to home.

Additionally, you will have opportunities to engage in teaching and research alongside residents, with the flexibility to customize your involvement based on your interests.

About Our Palliative Care:

Our Hospice program works closely with a well-established Palliative Care Team that offers both inpatient and outpatient services in the Fort Wayne region. We also collaborate with a dedicated Palliative Oncology Team located within the Packnett Family Cancer Institute on the Parkview Regional Medical Center campus.

About Our Hospice Team:

Our collaborative team is led by a full-time Hospice Medical Director and supported by several hospice physicians. We also have experienced Nurse Practitioners who assist with face-to-face administrative tasks. Our services are complemented by a dedicated Hospice Pharmacy and an integrated Home Health service, providing access to a variety of therapies, including physical, occupational, speech, massage, and music therapy.
