RN - ICU

This is a float pool position, not unit based: ICU RNs to float to all TCUs and ICUs, ED and PACU. Please add RTO time back to the end of the contract.

Shift: Day 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30); Night 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Description: VAYA OFFER. Please submit all RTO at time of offer. RTO sent after contract is signed will not be considered. Must have the ability to float to other UCSF facilities and other UCSF departments. Completed references must be in hand at time of submission. For faster movement, please confirm in submission that candidates have the required experience with the following specialties/devices: ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters.

Required: CA RN License, BSN, ACLS, BLS, Travel nursing for 1 year or less in the past 5 years, Minimum 4 years recent ICU experience, ECMO experience within the last 6 month to 1 year, Experience caring for ECMO patients as a bedside RN, Experience caring for ECMO as primary responsibility without dedicated bedside perfusion support, Ability to independently manage complex critical care patients, Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Recommendation: Candidates should be assessed based on their ability to function within the UCSF ICC care model rather than ECMO experience alone. Prior ECMO experience should be considered one component of a broader competency profile that includes cardiovascular critical care, transplant, mechanical circulatory support, and multi-organ support therapies.
